i had a freshwater pipe blow, with large waterleak coming out between the concrete driveway and the house foundations. The woman who answered the phone (this was Saturday of Waitangi weekend) suggested maybe wait til the following week after outlining their after-hours rates. I sent her a phopto and she agreed that it better be fixed asap. Within a couple of hours Josh arrived and made it clear he would have to keep cutting through the drive concrete til he found the leak, and asked if i wanted

After discovering a leak in the water-supply pipe into our house just before midday on Saturday of Waitangi weekend, I rang Hutt Gas and Plumbing to see if I could get urgent attention as it appeared to be coming from under the foundations. After agreeing to the (relatively reasonable, I thought!) rates for after hours work, I was told a tradesperson would be sent. Josh arrived early that afternoon and had the pipe repaired by 4.30pm, after having to cut through my concrete pad and dig down

Had a non-urgent underfloor pipe fix during first week of January. Didn’t need urgent repair but sent out a few emails. Hutt Gas &amp; Plumbing were the only ones to respond, within a few hours and the job was fixed 9/1/2026 less than a day after I’d asked for help. Thought I might pay a premium as they were ‘after hours’ (they reopened 12/1/2026) but very happy with the response, the time in which the repair was completed as well as the repair itself. Will use again.
