Once again the lovely Dave and amazing apprentice James came to our rescue. WaterCare let us know there was a background leak, invisible to the naked eye but blindingly obvious on our bill.<br />After checking thoroughly for anything obvious James and Dave came up with the most likely hidden leak source (the elderly pipe connecting the water main to the house). I cannot speak highly enough of the work of David Glover of Parris Plumbing. His training was in the UK and he has an approach to jobs that includes options not necessarily considered standard among other plumbers. He is an engaging personality, is technically extremely adept and he brings a wealth of practical common sense to problems that he deals with.
