“I thought I had a leaking water tank, so there was opportunity here for the plumber to totally lead me astray on the problem and do unnecessary work (which has happened to me before). Instead, I was advised that it was actually the toilet cistern and the problem was fixed. The extra work I thought I may have needed with the water tank, I was able to resolve myself, with some advice from the plumber. Totally superb service, I would highly recommend them.”
I had a tap leaking at my tenant's property. I received a call from the plumber telling me that the tap needs to be changed and it will cost $240 + gst. I asked for details. I was told $160 for the tap (the cheapest option) + $80 for the work. I didn't want to go forward as I wanted to pick a tap myself. At my surprise, the tap was changed anyway without my consent ("as it was needed" they said) and I received a bill of $280 with a 'as quoted by the plumber' in the invoice. I asked
We didnt have hot water - the plumber came and checked the tank and said that it was rusted, corroded and couldnt be used - it would nee dto be replaced or the pipes diverted to the unit servicing the upstairs flat. He quoted around $3-5000 for a new tank or around $1000 to have the water hooked up to a different unit. The next morning the landlord sent his plumber around, who looked at the tank, picked up the loose wire, connected it and then got the hot water going. I dont know if it
This company messed us around and ended up creating more problems than what we started with. They didn't fix the problem they were engaged to fix properly, then weren't bothered about putting the issue right when our roof continued to leak. We repeatedly left messages and requests for them to ring us, which were ignored – frustrating to say the least.
