If you are looking for someone who really listens to what you want and who then offers practical ideas that are in tune with that brief, that's Jim Findlay. He has a great visual sense. The work was done in the time frame Jim gave us, and we were delighted that he was able to re-use some materials from a part of the building that was being demolished in order to create the finished look. It's gold to find a craftsman who communicates well and who cares about what he does.
We hired Jim based on the recommendation of another tradesperson and Jim exceeded expectations. We needed some remedial work done on a recently-built house, as well as an extension to our deck. Jim was very honest, good value for money, demonstrated excellent workmanship and with a great sense of humour - he was a pleasure to have in the house. If ever we decide to build again, Jim would be our first choice.

Jim is everything we didn't expect a builder to be. Jim built our house designed by a well known Auckland architect. He gives friendly,very reliable and efficient sevice, a high standard of workmanship and excellent back up. We are very pleased with our results and can well recommend his company.
