James and Darren did a super job cleaning and painting our bach and outbuilding - roof, walls and windows/doors. They came on time, and did the work efficiently and quickly. We would definitely use them again.
Darren and James did a fantastic job transforming the exterior of my tired, 80 year old bach into a thing of beauty. They battled with challenging weather and were always positive and upbeat. Details were always considered.. you can tell these boys are thinking tradesmen and have pride in their work. Strongly recommended. Dion
We used James and Darren to paint a hallway and a small room, including ceilings, walls, and all trims. They did a great job, and certainly more professional than a previous painter that I used. Both James and Darryn came to quote the work required, then promptly gave me a written quote with a time line. ,Fortunately for us they were able to come a week early. .They completely painted an entire empty 2 be flat from floor to ceiling, every door,,closet,walls ceilings and skirting boards. There were both here before 8am everyday. They both stayed on the job until complete, did not jump jobs. .Both were friendly, extremely tidy and organized. .They are a great team, could not fault them.

We contacted James and Darren for a quote based on the reviews on this site. Their quote was lower than the other painter who was going to provide the same level of service. (We received a much cheaper quote, but they planned to omit some steps). We picked James (and Darren) because they looked like the best value. And I’m so glad we did! They were awesome. Started the job exactly when they said they would, arrived at the same time every day (which made things much easier to plan around),
James and Darren completed both exterior and interior painting work at my late mother's house. It was a tough time for our family and they were absolutely outstanding in every possible way. Their work was outstanding, their reliability faultless, their communication seamless and their cost was very fair and reasonable. Wherever possible I would always use them again for any painting and decorating work. I could not recommend them highly enough.

JL Painting did a complete inside paint job over the existing colour scheme in our older bungalow style house. Both James and Darren were professional, courteous and timely in all aspects of there job. Clean up was done at the end of each day and any little touch ups required by us were done without question. We have delt with numerous trade people over the time we have owned our house and can not speak highly enough of both of them.
We have used James and Darren on numerous occasions to paint our house inside and outside and we have always been extremely satisfied with their work. They are very obliging and helpful with whatever you ask them to do and they also provide you with very detailed feedback on the work that they have done for you. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any future clients and will certainly be using them again myself in the future.
We have used James many times over the last 5 years for wall papering and painting work inside and out and have been very happy with his work. He was recommended to us by a friend and we have found him to be friendly, honest and reliable. This latest job was for painting the outside of our recently acquired home and as per usual we were very pleased with the painting and also appreciated his advice. I would have no hesitation in recommending James and his team for any work of this nature.
James and Darren painted our daughters rooms with the colours chosen by our girls, which included a sparkle coat in one room that wouldn't have been easy to put on. I have had really bad experiences in the past with painters, so was quite nervous about employing someone without personal references, but James and Darren didn't let me down. They showed up when they said they would, did a great job, completed the job in the timeframe, and cleaned up. Thanks James and Darren!
There are a few things I want when employing people to do work around my house - I want a fair price, I want good quality workmanship, I want someone who will turn up when they say they will and I want someone who will respect my home and possessions. JI Contractors met all four of these.
James and Darren did our 2 large room interior paint job very professionally. They came on the day expected, appeared at 8am on the dot every morning, got on with the job promptly, and left everything clean and tidy when they left. I would use them again for any other painting work.
