“Derek did a complete exterior paint of our weatherboard home - including stripping to bare wood the old paint (the house is circa 1905) on two sides where the paint was crazed. He gave us good advice on the type of paint to use, and taught us quite a few things we didn't know about paint finishes, and did a very thorough and careful job, being quite patient with our five colour palette with all sorts of detailing for finials, balustrades and fascias! He was pleasant to have on site and reliable”

You'd never want to go through the experience I had with this painter. We accepted his quote to paint our cottage and he completed one side. Then he suddenly pulled out because I didn’t pay the full amount of an excessive invoice received from his builder, Phil Bartley. Mr Fackney said stripping all the paint wasn't necessary and I accepted that. Nevertheless, he failed to put the effort into the prep work so the finished look is patchy in many places.
